Businesses and residents north of Larson Street in Knoxville are currently without phone and internet after a cable was cut by city crews. Greg Grey  with Windstream tells KNIA/KRLS news that a 600 pair lead cable was cut by a City of Knoxville water department crew effecting service for approximately 200 customers.  Windstream is currently working on restoring the service residence by residence and it could take until as long as late Friday or early Saturday for all service to be restored.  Windstream asks residents of Knoxville to be patient and says they will continue to update KNIA KRLS as the situation improves.
