Pella voters can continue to support transportation, maintenance, and technology initiatives at the upcoming school board election on September 12th.

Pella Schools Superintendent Greg Ebeling tells KNIA/KRLS News the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy will be on the ballot. The funds generated support making repairs to buildings, new buses, and classroom technology, and Ebeling says not having the levy means those expenses would come out of the general fund used to pay for staff salaries and programs.

He says a vote yes does not result in a tax increase, but instead, continues the tax formula on the books.

School elections take place on Tuesday, September 12th throughout the state of Iowa.
