Marion County Engineer Roger Schletzbaum will remain in his position until at least June 2014. The Marion County Board of Supervisors approved the extension of his contract during his performance review this week. His salary for Fiscal Year 2014 will remain at the same amount as 2013, which came at Schletzbaum’s request. It’s approximately $96,000.

The Supervisors said that he’s done a great job with meeting future needs and looking out for the best interests of the county, even if that meant making tough decisions. Schetzbaum told the Board that much of that has to do with the rest of the Secondary Roads Department, which he said was the best he’s ever worked with.
