Knoxville native Bryan Schlotterback will cap off his three year journey raising money for the historic Ken Locke Stadium with a 24 run this fall. Schlotterback has ran more than 255 miles in the past two years for the SOS project and this year the event will show off the structure he runs to support as he will run around the football field at the Ken Locke Stadium for 24 consecutive hours.

The past two years, Schlotterback’s events have raised nearly $12,000 for improvements to the Ken Locke Stadium and while he’s proud of those numbers, Bryan says the biggest reward cannot be measured by a dollar figure. He says kids in the community have realized that they can do something they didn’t think was possible and really make a difference as long as they go for it, work hard, sweat, and make it happen.

24 Hours for Ken Lock will begin September 30th and continue until just before kick off of the Knoxville Panthers vs. Newton football game on October 1st. Schlotterback is collecting donations for the project and supporters can pledge per mile, through a one time donation or by running 4 miles with him for $20. Those who would like to donate can call Bryan at 515-867-4247.
