The Indianola Chamber of Commerce is asking residents to help support our local economy this weekend for Small Business Saturday, which is always designated as the Saturday after Thanksgiving to focus on small businesses during the most popular shopping time of the year. Chamber President and CEO Brenda Easter tells KNIA News purchasing from a small business means more than the exchanging of goods and services, it helps our community in other ways.

“I think small businesses have an opportunity to shine not only on Small Business Saturday but throughout the holiday season. I also think this is important for our businesses to see from our community that they are well supported, that they appreciate them serving the Indianola area and any guests that may visit us. And also provide them with a sense of security that the income will help that business’s bottom line in 2020.”

Indianola businesses on and around the square will also be open later on Thursday’s through Christmas to help accommodate holiday shoppers.
