The South Central Regional Airport Agency (SCRAA) held its first quarterly meeting of 2015.
Pella City Administrator Mike Nardini says the agency is currently in the process of waiting for the FAA to go ahead with an environmental assessment, one of the last hurdles in earning approval for the project. At the meeting, they passed the 2015-16 budget, which includes $15,100 in operating expenses and $100,000 in capital expenditures for planning studies, which is reimbursed at 90% by the FAA. The SCRAA is required to annually submit an operating and capital budget to the Cities of Pella and Oskaloosa.
