The Governor’s Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics, or STEM, Executive and Advisory Council convened for a day-long meeting in the Vermeer Global Pavilion on Tuesday.

The council looked back at the progress STEM initiatives made statewide and across the nation, and challenges they face and goals they’d like to accomplish next year. CEO of Vermeer Corporation Mary Andringa tells KNIA/KRLS News that the Pella community is representative of the success of STEM initiatives because of the unique business environment and success of schools in Pella. Central College President Mark Putnam also presented about STEM recognition protocols. We have more about the STEM Advisory Council Meeting on Let’s Talk Pella.
