Workers on the Knoxville Streetscape Project have been able to power through minor complications during their construction to keep everything on schedule. After this “phase one” of the project is complete, phase two, involving Robinson Street between Second and Third Streets, is expected to start in March of 2014. Assistant City Manager Dylan Feik encourages anyone that is curious as to what their money is going towards with this project to go online to www.knoxvilleia.gov to see a complete breakdown of how the city’s local option sales tax is being put to good use. Blocks two, three and four of the project are scheduled to be completed in 2014, while the final part of the Streetscape project involving Robinson Street between First and Second Streets is due to be finished in the Summer of 2015.
