Two of the main ways drivers make their way to and from Pella now will make for a smoother ride.
The Marion County Road Department reports that resurfacing projects along County Highway T-17 and Old Highway 163 are now complete. The asphalt overlay for the section of Elevator Road south of Pella and T-17 north of Highway 92, as well as Old Highway 163 from Eagle Lane to Old Highway 102 were two of the biggest projects administered by the Marion County Road Department this spring.
Work continues on two other projects this month, including the pavement rehabilitation of the Old Pella Road east of Knoxville to Highway T-15, which is nearing completion, as well as curve reconstruction along Highway G-40 east of Pleasantville, which will likely continue for at least a few more weeks. Lucas Drive near 245th place remains closed for bridge replacement.
