The Pleasantville Trojans scored 110 points to finish fourth at the Des Moines Christian Invitational Track Meet Monday night.

Trojan Coach Tyler Baethke tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, the Trojans had some good performances, Ryan Clement had a good night. He ran great legs in the Distance Medley and 4×1 relay and won the 200.  Ross Stephens won the 110s despite hitting a hurdle.  He’s starting to come along after being hurt most of the early season.  Ryder Thill ran a season best to get fourth in a loaded 1600 race. Edwin Escalante was back in the lineup and he was able to clear 5-10 for second place in the high jump.

Top PHS performances showed Ryan Clement winning the 200 at 23.50, Ross Stephens the 110 high hurdles at 16.38 and the 4×100 winning in 45.83.

Trojan second place finishes were by the Distance Medley and Shuttle Hurdle relays. Escalante was runner-up in the high jump and Caleb Cook in the 400 hurdles.

Pleasantville Girls 3rd at PCM Track

The Pleasantville girls were third at a track meet Monday in Monroe at the PCM Invite with 99 points, one point out of second.

Pleasantville had five wins with Alex Blackford winning the 100 in 13.59 sec0nds, 200 in 27.32 and long jump at 15’3″. She also ran a leg on the winning 4×100 relay.  Also running on the winning 4×1 team were Danika Park, Sophia Mason and Lauren Furnal with a time of 53.13. The other win for PHS was by Olivia Anthony at 94 feet in the discus.

PHS seconds were by Mason in the 100 hurdles at 17.04 and the Distance Medley team of Madilyn Rowson, Emmy Hiemstra, Kyleigh McConnell and Carly Gripp at 4:48.81.

The girls will race again Thursday at Carlisle at 4:30.
