Two trumpeter swans will be released to their new home Monday. As part of a larger restoration project, the swans will be a new part of the DeCook Wetlands. Brothers Mike and Dan DeCook say they look forward to bringing in even more diverse wildlife to the area. The DeCooks have been transforming the 200 acre spread owned by their parents, Mark and Kay, to it’s natural state from previous use as a corn and bean field. The public is invited to the DeCook Wetland at 4 pm tomorrow to see the waterfowl.
