In an interesting development in Eight-Man football District 5, Twin Cedars has been handed the win over Seymour officially due to a forfeit by the Eagles. Sabers’ coach, Aaron Allspach tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that Seymour was going through some injuries from last week and didn’t have enough to play tonight, so they ended up forfeiting. Allspach added that with his team having a bye week next week, they opted to find a game to play next Friday instead of sitting out for technically two straight weeks. The Sabers will now play Woodbine in Week Seven. Over in Melcher-Dallas, the Saints have a chance to create some chaos at the top of the district with a win over first place H-L-V. A win by the Saints would put the three schools into a tie with three weeks left in the regular season. The Saints and Warriors will kick-off tonight at seven.
