With the cold winter weather here, the Indianola Police Department wants to remind residents to be as prepared as possible to stay safe during a winter event. Indianola Police Captain Brian Sher tells KNIA News if you are stuck in your car or forced to pull over during a snowstorm/blizzard event, you should keep a window cracked open and your exhaust tailpipe clear to make sure you are breathing safely. Sher also suggests keeping warm weather clothes such as a hat, gloves, or boots in your car, as well as a blanket.
