With such a busy Saturday in Knoxville, KNIA/KRLS was busy gathering photos and videos of the highlights of the day. More than 200 people gathered at Auld Park for a Civil War reenactment from the Army of the Southwest Civil War Reenactors. Club president O.J. Fargo explained the story of the Civil War to the crowd gathered at Auld Park, discussing the mindset of the soldiers and general public as well as what conditions were like in the 1860s. The army participated in an infantry drill before a cannon drill and mortar drill. The reenactment was supported by Iowa State Savings Bank and the Knoxville Historic Preservation Commission.

In downtown Knoxville, people gathered for Ag in the City and the Knoxville Farmer’s Market. And more than 100 gardeners from the Omaha area were the guests in Knoxville Saturday as they took a garden tour. Photos from the entire day can be found here.
