The Knoxville Apostolic Church is hosting their Semi-Annual Chicken and Noodle Supper on Thursday, March 25th from 4:30 to 6:30. They’ll be serving chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, jello, homemade rolls, pie, and drink. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for kids 10 and under, and kids 3 and under are free. Carryout dinners are also available.

Bussey United Methodist Church is holding a St. Patrick’s Day Baked Potato Smorgasbord on Tuesday, March 16th at the church. Serving begins at 5:00 pm and they’ll be serving large baked potatoes with your choice of toppings, salads, and dessert. Cost is a freewill donation.

Grace Felloship in Pell ais hosting a Pork Patty Supper on Wednesday, March 10th from 5:00 to 6:45 pm. Menu includes pork patty sandwiches, chips, potato salad, and assorted desserts. Freewill donations accepted. There will also be a youth group Pinewood Derby at 7:00.

Attica United Methodist Church is hosting a pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturday, March 13th from 6:00 to 10:00 am. Cost is a freewill donation.

The Knoxville and Albia Community Choruses present a combined concert on Sunday, March 28th at 3:30 at First United Methodist Church in Knoxville. The Knoxville Community Chorus will also perform on Friday, April 9th at 7:30 pm at the Presbyterian Church in Knoxville and on Sunday, April 11th at 2:30 at the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville. Cost will be a freewill donation.

The United Methodist Women in Knoxville invite the people of your church to a Guest Day Breakfast at the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville at 9:00 am on Saturday, April 3rd. The program will be given by Dr. Tim Dykstra who has helped develop a water purification system for third world countries. Please make reservations by March 24th to Pat Haning at 842-2790.

St. John’s Lutheran Church in Melcher-Dallas is holding their annual fish fries on Friday, March 5th and Friday, March 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. They’ll be serving baked and fried fish, shrimp, chicken strips, coleslaw, baked beans, and lots of desserts. Cost is $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $4 for kids age 5-10 all you can eat. Kids 4 and under eat free.

The Otley Reformed Church GEMS will be hosting a baked potato supper on Wednesday, March 3rd. They’ll be serving from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Toppings for the potatoes will include taco meat, ham, broccoli, and cheese. Jell-O salads, bars, and drinks will also be offered. Cost is a freewill donation.

St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus in Pella are holding fish fries through March 26th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 5:30 to 7:30 each Friday. They’ll be serving fried and baked fish, baked potato or french fries, vegetable, roll, and a dessert. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children, or $20 for a family.

Living Word Fellowship will host Reverend Jimmie Bratcher on Saturday and Sunday, February 27th and 28th. Men are welcome to attend a special breakfast with Jimmie on Saturday at the Jenkins Center and a leadership workshop will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 that night also at the Jenkins Center. Nursery will be available for childre 0-3 during the workshop. Rev. Bratcher will be ministering at 10:00 am on Sunday. For more information, call 828-7119.

Columbia United Methodist Church is holding a pancake breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00 on Saturday, February 20th at the Columbia Community Center. Freewill donations will go towards youth activities.

“The Secret of Jonathon Sperry” will be showing 2 weekends in the month of March at the Capri Theatre in New Sharon. The showings will be the Friday the 12th, Saturday the 13th, and Sunday the 14th and again on Friday the 19th, Saturday the 20th, and Sunday the 21st. Show times are 7pm and 9pm on Fridays, 2pm 7pm & 9pm Saturdays and 2pm and 4pm Sundays.

First Reformed Church in Pella is hosting Connect@6:05 that meets every Saturday night. It is an informal worship service that exists primarily to reach out to the community. It includes a time of open fellowship at 6:05 and worship starting at 6:15. The service is laid back, undemanding, and accessible to people from all walks of life. The Youth Group at the Church of the Nazarene in Knoxville will be at Wal-Mart on Saturday, February 13th to collect non-perishable foods for Helping Hands.
On Tuesday, February 16th they will have a speaker from Hope Ministry come and share what they do and the needs in Iowa. Call to reserve a place at 891-9066.
February 20th and 21st the McKay family will beat the church for a Youth Revival.
On February 26th and 27th they will have their 30 hour famine.

St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish will offer two Bible Studies; “An Introduction to the Bible” and “The Passion and Resurrection Narratives” beginning the week of Februrary 28th. These seven week studies involve prayer, study, and weekly small group sharing. Registration materials are on the bulletin board in the church entryway. Registration deadline is March 1st. Sacred Heart and St. Anthony’s Parishes will hold one mass on Sunday, March 7th and it will be held at 2:00. Bishop Amos will be at Sacred Heart in Melcher for Confirmation. There will also be a social afterwards with a chance to meet the Bishop, and the newly confirmed members.
