Funeral Service Announcements

Funeral services for Shirley Seddon, age 64 of Melcher-Dallas, will be held on Monday, April 12th at 10:30 am at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 until 5 at the funeral home in Melcher-Dallas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services for Rich Slings, age 62 of Pella, will be held on Saturday, April 10th at 10:30 am at the First Baptist Church in Pella. A luncheon will follow the funeral service. Interment will be made in the Oakwood Cemetery in Pella. Visitation will begin Friday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Pella where the family will be present Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. For those desiring, memorials may be given for the Gospel Singers Male Chorus.

Memorial Services for Ken Louis Casida, aged 59, of Albia, IA, will be held on Monday, April 5th, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Sinnott-Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia. A Mass of Christian Burial for Dean Hoch, aged 67, of Lacona, will be held on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lacona. Visitation and a Rosary Service will both be held at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona, with the Rosary Service starting at 5 PM, and family recieving friends from 6 until 8 PM on Tuesday, April 6th, 2010. Funeral services for Patty Ann Nall, aged 70, of Albia, Iowa, will be held on Tuesday, April 6th, 2010 at 11 AM at Sinnott-Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia, Iowa. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Garden in Des Moines. Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 9-11 AM at the funeral home withe family present. An open memorial has been established. Funeral Services for Virgil Dykstra, age 89, of Oskaloosa, formerly of Pella will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Central Reformed Church in Oskaloosa. There will be a family prayer services at 10:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the church. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Monday after 10:30 a.m. at the a Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. to greet friends and relatives.

Memorial services with the family present for Donna J. Crooks, age 76, formerly of Chariton, will be held on Monday April 5th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Graveside funeral services for Mike Williams, aged 85, of Alamo, Texas, formerly of Albia, will be held on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010 at 11:30 AM at West Liberty Cemetery in Montezuma, Iowa. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Howard Cessna Post 136 of Albia.  Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 6th, 2010 at the Sinnott-Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia, from 12-7 PM with the family present. An open memorial has been established.

Funeral services for Leslie Steele, age 82 of Deep River, will be held on Saturday, April 3rd at 10:30 am at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma. Interment with military honors will be held in the Barnes City Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 1:00 pm on Friday with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Judith A. Morton, aged 60, of Derby, will be held on Tuesday, March 30th, 2010 at 10:30 am at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Interment will be in the Last Chance Cemetery. Family will recieve friends on Monday from 6:30-7:30pm at the funeral home in Chariton.
