The PCM girls basketball team rode balanced scoring and stellar defense to a 65-35 drubbing of Pleasantville in the first round of the Class 2A girls regional basketball tournament. The Mustangs had four players in double figures, led by Katlyn Wood with 13 points. Lindsay Vande Wall, Taylor Van Roekel, and Jordan Wood joined Wood in double figures, all scoring 10 points. The 5th ranked Mustangs also limited Pleasantville’s ability to score down low, limiting the Trojans leading scorer to just 5 points, all in the second half. PCM will move on to host Des Moines Christian in the regional quarterfinals on Tuesday night. That game will be aired on kniakrls.com starting with the pregame at 6:45.
