The Pella Christian Lady Eagles started their post season over the weekend and blew open a one point halftime lead and put away Eddyville-Blakesburg 54-to-36 in the opening round of the Class two-A tournament. The Eagles led 23/22 at halftime but outscored the Rockette’s 31/14 in the second half. Jana Van Zanten scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Shelby Weaver added 13 points getting the start for the injured Jasmin Schelhaas. In the second round the Lady Eagles will take on Albia. That game will be tomorrow at seven.
