Drew Laidig who is a former Carlisle and Indian Hills baseball player from Pleasantville, has been named to the Brooks Wallace Player of the Year Watch List in Division one baseball. Laidig is a senior infielder for Western Illinois in the Summit League. Laidig was named first team All-Summit League last year after batting 349 with four homers and 41 R-B-I and was ranked the 20th hardest hitter in the country to strike out. The winner will be announced at a banquet on Thursday, July 2nd in the United Spirit Arena on the campus of Texas Tech University.
