Authorities say a car traveling eastbound on Washington Street was struck on the driver’s side by a van exiting onto Washington Street from Highway 163. Traffic was re-routed as emergency crews cleared the scene. The driver of the car, 44-year-old Charles Douglas of Pella, was transported by ambulance to Pella Regional Health Center.
