The Pella Christian Lady Eagles season came to a close last night as they fell to Central Decatur 48-to-33 in Pleasantville. It took well over six minutes for either team to score before freshmen guard Christina Nolte finally broke the ice with a long two point jump shot. The Central Decatur defense was just too much thoughthe Cardinals continued to smother the Pella Christians ball handlers all night holding them to just four points in the first quarter and 13 first half points. The bright spot in the game was Christina Nolteplaying in just her fourth varsity game. She scored 14 points in the loss and was the only Lady Eagle who scored in double figures. Jana Van Zanten added six points in the defeat. With the loss Pella Christian falls to 16-and-9 overall finishing up a successful season. Meanwhile, the Pella Christian boys will be back in action tonight to take on Davis County in Oskaloosa for the Distrcit championship in class two-A. The game starts at seven tonight and KNIA/KRLS will have the pre-game at six-45.
