The Pella Police Department is investigating a report of an assault last night in Pella. According to Lieutenant John Van Haaften, an unknown male reportedly attempted to assault a woman at the Pella Comfort Inn. He says the woman was able to escape unharmed. The suspect was described as a 5’7″ dark-skinned male between the ages of 20-30. He was reportedly dressed in all black and wearing a ski mask, according to authorities.
