Howell Station Campground will reopen Friday. That’s according to Lake Red Rock Park Ranger Tracy Spry, who tells KNIA/KRLS News that the campground will be first come first serve starting at 9 o’clock Friday morning. Howell Station suffered significant damage during the flood in June of last year and had remained closed ever since. Earlier this year, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers had announced plans to reopen the campground for Memorial Day weekend.
