Progress continues on Robinson Street in Knoxville and, weather permitting, is set to be finished sometime next month. That’s according to Knoxville Public Works Director Jeff May.  He says most of the cement paving has been completed, and crews now are hand pouring colored-concrete: one of the signatures of a new street design from the Knoxville Downtown Streetscape Committee.  Crews will also be pouring intersections and crosswalks.  In related news, crews on South Fifth Street are entering ‘phase III’, where they will put in rock layer, sub drains and then paving.
