Campers and boaters at Lake Red Rock this Memorial Day holiday need to keep safety first in mind as they spend time with family and friends.  That’s according to Marion County Sheriff’ Ron Goemaat.  He says the campgrounds see many people in a small area, and asks campers are respectful of other people’s space, and that they limit excessive noise on the campgrounds.  Goemaat adds that boaters should always have life jackets available and carry a cell phone when on the lake.  Goemaat adds there are comparable drunk driving laws both on the road and on the lake, and urges residents to limit their alcohol consumption while boating.
