Money raised from a Knoxville elementary school student’s lemonade stand will be used to fight children’s cancer.  Tierney Heffron and her mother Genni tell KNIA/KRLS News that Alex’s Lemonade Stand is named after a child suffering from cancer who set up a lemonade stand and raised $1 million before she passed away.  Tierney encourages the community to stop by the lemonade stand this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Knoxville Hy-Vee, and then from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Knoxville Raceway during the races, where they can have lemonade for a free will donation.  Supplies are still needed, and anyone who is interested in supplying items such as ice and water can call 842-2503.
