Site work has started on a new chain restaurant in Pella. An Applebee’s is being constructed on Washington Street near the Pella Wal-Mart. Company spokesman Dave Phillips says they hope to have the restaurant open in September. The building will feature a Dutch-inspired design and paint scheme approved by the Pella Community Development Committee.
