Despite a national decline of hospitals in rural areas
providing obstetric services, Knoxville Hospital & Clinics
continues to care for women and their children during
pregnancy and childbirth. Heather Cook is obstetric
services coordinator at Knoxville Hospital & Clinics. She
says the hospital's O-B care saves residents the time to
drive outside of town for care. Pella Regional Health
Center Chief Nursing Officer Yvonne O'Brien says they are
fortunate to having physicians and nursing staff available
to offer their services.
