Two new churches will open their doors in Pella in the
coming months. St. Mary's Catholic Church is relocating to
218th Place north of the Pella Wal-Mart. Doug Polking is a
member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church building
committee and says the bishop from Davenport is scheduled
to attend a dedication on July 19. Peace Lutheran Church
is also relocating to a site north of Vermeer Road. Don
Lanke is the relocation steering team leader. He says they
hope to start moving into the new church late this summer.
