A recent painting project which spruced up part of the
Knoxville square came with many hours of planning and
coordination from local residents. That's according to
Knoxville Mayor Harv Sprafka. He says the Knoxville
Historic Preservation Commission co-chair Carolyn
Formaneck and her husband Larry put in hours of planning
for the project, talking with business owners and securing
a $4,400 grant for the project. Sprafka says Knoxville
Rotary and commission volunteers helped with the project,
painting the half block between His & Hers Fitness to the
This, That and the Other Consignment Shop in historic
downtown pallet colors, and there have been many favorable
comments about their work.
