Multiple thunderstorms rolled across Marion County early
this morning, bringing high winds, hail, and heavy
rainfall across the area. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather
Action Team was on the air from 12:50 a.m. to 3 a.m.,
bringing residents the most up to date information from
the Weather Eye Weather Center, National Weather Service
and local officials. Over an inch of rainfall was
measured in parts across Marion County after the storm.
Both the Marion County Sheriff's Office and the Pella
Police Department had no reports of any major damage as of
earlier this morning, however there are reports of limbs
down in some areas. At least 67 Marion County residences
were also without power during the storm.
