Closing arguments were made and the jury deliberated Thursday in the trial of a 42-year-old Pella resident charged with sexually abusing a four-year-old Pella resident in 2008.  No verdict was reached in the trial of Richard Nathan Baccam (bah-KAHM), but the court is set to reconvene tomorrow (Fri) at 9 a.m. in the Marion County Courthouse.  Baccam is charged with sexual abuse in the second-degree stemming from an alleged incident involving the child at a Pella residence in October 2008.  If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison.  KNIA/KRLS will bring you more information as it becomes available.
