The jury in the trial of a 42-year-old Pella resident charged with sexually abusing a four-year-old Pella resident in 2008 could not agree upon a verdict after extended deliberation Friday, and a mistrial was declared. Sources tell KNIA/KRLS News that the jury on the trial of Richard Nathan Baccam was dismissed after they reached no consensus. Court documents report a pre-trial conference has been set for August 14th, when a retrial date will be set.
