The driver of a sanitation truck was injured last Thursday morning after his vehicle rolled down an embankment near Pella. Justin Franklin of Melcher-Dallas was traveling southbound on T-15, when he failed to negotiate a turn onto Idaho Drive. The truck rolled into the ditch, coming to a rest on its side. Franklin suffered minor injuries in the accident. He is being charged by the Marion County Sheriffs Office with failure to maintain control. The truck, which belonged to Midwest Sanitation, was listed as a total loss.
