The defense for Knoxville football struggled last season. It was not because of the lack of talent. Coach Chris Hudson says it took most of the season to get the kids to understand the new defense. So like the offense the Panther coaching staff is simplifying things this year. Hudson says with the simpler way of playing and the talent that he has on defense he hopes to have several players vying for starting jobs. Hudson says last weeks scrimmage answered a many questions and this week the coaches will look to solidify the starting 11 on each side in preparation for the season opener at P-C-M.
