The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday at 8:38 PM they received a 911 call from a person in the Marion County Park in Knoxville. The caller reported that three children were near the west end of the park when a female driving a gray van pulled up next to one of the children and asked them to get in the vehicle. The children then went back to their campsite and told the adults about the incident.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies responded along with Marion County Conservation and Knoxville Police. Officers searched the park and surrounding areas for the vehicle and were unable to locate it. Officers continued to search for the vehicle throughout the night and were unable to locate the vehicle.

The case is under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Marion County Conservation.
