Chariton defeated Knoxville in both volleyball teams’ season openers last night three games to one. The Chargers won the first two games 25/23 and 25/16 while Knoxville took game three 25/15, however Chariton closed out the match winning game four 25/18. The Panthers were lead by the Deutsch Twins in kills. Mandi with nine and Alissa came in with seven, while Terra Bumgardner was perfect in 13 serve attempts. Knoxville will travel to the A-D-M Invitational on Thursday.
