The first meet of the cross country season at Central College is this weekend, and the runners for the Dutch will have the advantage of starting on their home course. The home-opener also marks the debut for Head Coach Joe Dunham, who joined the staff last season as Central’s track and field coach. Dunham says both squads are coming off of strong summer workouts and are hoping to gain ground this season in the Iowa Conference. The meet will be staged at Central’s cross country course at the A.N. Kuyper (KY-pur) Complex, starting with the women’s race at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
