Twin Cedars Cross Country hit the ground running in their first meet of the season yesterday in Ottumwa. Sierra Staur (St-ow-err) finished 46th out of 120 runners in the girls field with a time of 19:36, and Kallee Brown finished 67th with a time 20:50. For the boys, Blaine Kendall finished 63rd in the field with a time of 23:02, and Levi Jones finished 78th with a 24:07 mark. Coach Alan Stewart said his team had a limited number of runners available, but was pleased by the effort his runners made. The future looks bright for Coach Stewart’s team with 8th grade runner Whitney Roby finished 2nd out of 30 runners with a time of 12:58 in the junior high meet.
