Pella Christian finished second at the Ames Volleyball tournament Saturday. The Eagles went two-and-two in pool play beating Mason City and Fort Dodge and falling to Urbandale and Nevada. They then upset Cedar Falls in the semifinals to advance to the championship where they fell again to Urbandale. Courtney Kroeze had 28 kills on the day…Bekah Posthuma had 92 assists…Ashley Van Kooten had 47 digs and Paige Zylstra had 9 blocks. Coach John Evenhouse said it was a great day for Pella Christian and was very pleased with their results against all larger schools. The Eagles are four-and-four on the season and host Norwalk to start Little Hawkeye Conference play tomorrow night.
