It what was a back-and-forth game all night, Pella Christian came up with the big plays when they needed them most, as the Eagles won their district opener last night 39-36 over Des Moines Christian.
Pella Christian assistant coach Darryl De Ruiter says even though a great final offensive drive put the Eagles up for good, it was big plays on special teams and defense that preserved the victory. The win improves Pella Christian to 2-1 overall, with a week four match-up on the road at Pleasantville up next for the Eagles.
