A Marion County ISU Extension official says a Nobel Peace Prize winner and Iowa native helped motivate agricultural interest for a generation. Dale Miller tells KNIA/KRLS News Norman Borlaug, who died Saturday at age 95, was a true friend of agriculture and advanced world food production.
Miller says he met Borlaug, who is credited with fostering a movement which saved up to 1 billion people from starvation, at a conference in Omaha around ten years ago.
