Jerry Nikkel has stepped down as Knoxville Softball Coach. Nikkel spent three season with the Panthers compiling a 61-52 record, his best season was in 2007 when Knoxville went 30-9, won the Little Hawkeye Conference title and finished ranked tenth in the state in class 3A. He also earned his 500th career win this past season and guided the Panthers to an 18-18 record this season. Nikkel says he enjoyed the three seasons he was with Knoxville, but felt the need to give more time to the Central Women’s Basketball program where his will remain as head coach.
