A non-profit, community foundation in Knoxville recently joined a state-wide philanthropy network to reduce administrative overhead and develop marketing outreach. Board members of the Knoxville Heritage Foundation tell KNIA/KRLS News that the organization joined the Iowa Community Affiliate Network, or ‘Iowa C.A.N.’, which will help maximize investment options and gain access to professionals who can provide technical assistance and support.

The Knoxville Heritage Foundation acquires funds to enhance the community, and past projects include involvement in restoration at Ken Locke Stadium, Marion County Humane Society, Knoxville Scholarships, and purchasing the new Helping Hands building, among others.
