It was 222 years ago on this day that 39 delegates in Philadelphia signed the Constitution of the United States of America, and that day is now Nationally recognized as Constitution Day. Mark Core, a Government teacher at Pella High School, says that every day is Constitution Day in his classes, as far as he is concerned, but says his students will take a “Know Your Constitution” quiz to mark the occasion. The day is meant to be a time for Americans to continue our founders’ legacy and develop habits of citizenship in a new generation of Americans.
