The Central football team opens Iowa Conference play at the University of Dubuque today, as the Dutch go into Chalmers field undefeated and ranked 16th in the latest D3football.com poll. Central has been led by a strong ground game in both victories this season, with quarterback Nate Snead leading the team; averaging 90 yards per game. Coach Jeff McMartin says that while they want to remain somewhat balanced in the play calls, “it’s no secret that the game plan starts on the ground.” Snead was named the Iowa Conference male athlete this week. You can listen to the game live on 92.1 KRLS and streaming online at www.kniakrls.com starting at 12:45 p.m. with Trevor Castle and Eric Gotschall bringing you the action from Dubuque.
