A generous scholarship established by alumni of a private college in Michigan is helping several graduates of Pella schools attend their alma mater. Ties between several Pella residents and Calvin College – located in Grand Rapids, Michigan – along with financial support from the Harry Vermeer Family and others has drawn eight Pella Christian and one Pella High School graduate to the school this fall. The Pella Promise scholarships are worth $4,000 annually, and are meant to equal incentives Iowa colleges offer to retain students.
