Melcher-Dallas will finally start its eight-man district five season this Friday with a trip to Tri-County. The Saints got their first win of the season this past Friday against Mormon Trail 60-25. Coach Chris Peterson likes the fact that he gets four straight weeks at the start of the season to evaluate and see what kind of a team he has. The Saints are 1-3 on the season and made the playoffs last year in a similar situation with the first four games of the year non-district. Peterson adds Tri-County is still the team to beat in the district this season and will provide a very tough challenge for his squad.
