Grinnell’s smash mouth running style caused Knoxville all sorts of problems last night as the Tigers won 42-0. It was 7-0 at the end of the first quarter and Knoxville was hitting Grinnell just as hard as Grinnell was laying the wood, but three touchdowns in the second stanza pushed the lead to 28-0 at halftime then a score late in the third involved the 35-point running clock rule. Defensive Coordinator Justin Mikels said Grinnell provided a lot of mismatches. Knoxville was led by Dillon Schrader who carried the ball 14 times for 93 yards. The Panthers are now 2-3 on the season and drop to 0-3 in class 3A District six.
