Even without a single diving point, Indianola/Knoxville captured the Des Lincoln Railsplitter Girls Swimming Invitational Saturday by 16 points over Lincoln. The Knoxville contingent played a major role in the victory with Christina Ambergy who was apart o the 400 freestyle relay that won gold, she also claimed silver in the 100 freestyle, while Chelsea Vander Linden took second in the 100 breastroke. Coach Kurt Lickiss said depth was what won the meet for Indianola. He credits Knoxville swimmers Olivia Crawford and Alivia McCorkle for getting important points. He adds the girls are looking forward to a full week of workouts before a big meet at Southeast Polk on October sixth.
